Huntress Cocktail is the subtler version of this drink and is intended for female hunters.
You may also take your cocktail hunting with you by putting it inside a flask.
Hunter's Cocktail
Pour the Jim Beam Rye whiskey and cherry brandy into an old-fashioned glass with ice. Stir well. Garnish with a maraschino cherry.
Garnishing the cocktail with maraschino cherry adds a little more flavor and color to the drink.
If rye whiskey is not available, a good substitute would be corn whiskey like Old Oak, Dixie Dew, or Virginia Lightning.
