Fourth of July Shooter

Anything red, white, and blue is deemed perfect for this truly American occasion. Some people go on a picnic while others prefer to stay indoors and enjoy a good meal and drinks with family and friends. Still there are others who love to party all night during this one-day holiday.

The perfect cocktail to complement the patriotic theme of this day is the Fourth of July Shooter. It's a variation of the Red, White, and Blue which substitutes vodka with peach schnapps to create the drink's “white layer." The drink is an interesting blend of ingredients that creates a unique taste. Layered with the colors of the American flag, this fruity shooter is perfect for your Fourth of July parties.

Fourth of July Shooter

• 1 oz. Curacao
• 1 oz. Stoli vodka
• 1 oz. Sweet and Sour
• 1/2 oz. grenadine

Pour the Curacao into a martini or shot glass. Add Stoli and Sweet and Sour to a shaker and shake the heck out of it, until the Sweet and Sour foams white at the top, pour into glass. Carefully pour the grenadine down the side of the glass. It has so much sugar in it, it will sink to the bottom, giving you tri-color layers.
